About

Behind the camera

Kayse Ray is a photographer based in Bakersfield, CA, drawn to saturated color, honest light, and places with a story — from golden-hour family portraits and once-in-a-lifetime proposals to abandoned railways, desert ruins, and the small wild details most people walk right past.

Sessions happen across Bakersfield and Kern County, with regular trips down to the Los Angeles metro. Whether it’s people or places, the goal is the same: images that feel the way the moment felt.

Questions

Before you get in touch

Where are you based?

Bakersfield, California. I photograph throughout Bakersfield and Kern County, and travel to the Los Angeles metro regularly.

Do you travel for sessions?

Yes. The Los Angeles metro is a regular trip, and I am happy to talk about locations further out — send over what you have in mind and we will work out the details.

What kinds of sessions do you photograph?

Portraits and family sessions, proposals and couples, and fine art nature work that is available as prints or for licensing.

How do I book a session?

Send a note through the form on this page or email [email protected] directly. Including your rough date, location, and the kind of session you want means I can answer with something useful straight away.

Can I buy a print of one of the landscape photographs?

Yes — the nature and landscape work is available as archival prints, and for editorial or commercial licensing. Tell me which image caught your eye.
